COD Mobile World Championship 2023 is coming soon: There is Good News for COD mobile gamers as Activision has officially announced the long-awaited World Championship 2023. While the publisher hasn’t shared more details about the coveted contest, this official confirmation has put a lot of speculations to rest.

Furthermore, the company has launched a new cyberpunk-themed logo for the upcoming championship.

Compared to other mobile games, Activision usually takes a little longer to release the COD Mobile E-Sports Annual Roadmap. As such, this year’s championship will be the fourth iteration of the much-anticipated gaming event.

It will certainly be interesting to see the distribution of the prize pool by the American publisher for the upcoming 2023 season.

The first phase of the championship will be solo play, in which every interested player can participate by competing in a ranked mode. In-game rewards will be given based on your rank. You can compete in the Frontline, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Domination modes to earn lots of interesting rewards, including the Sophia skin.

More details about it, such as its schedule, qualification process for Phase 2, and more are likely to come in the near future.

On April 6, Activision revealed the COD Mobile 2023 roadmap, including information about Season 3: Rush overview, the brand new Ground War coming in Season 4, the World Championships, and more.

The company’s official announcement of the championship was a sigh of relief for various esports organizations and players. It has been almost four months since the conclusion of the 2022 World Championship, which is why players and fans were eagerly waiting for the new season.

It was initially planned to be organized in five stages, with a total prize pool of $1 million in 2020. Unfortunately, the last leg of the event in 2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The 2022 season was successfully hosted by Activision, with over $2 million in the prize pool. The fifth and final phase saw an epic contest between 16 teams from December 15 to 18, 2022 in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.

In the prestigious tournament, Tribe Gaming from North America showcased incredible gameplay, eventually lifting the coveted trophy and claiming a cash prize of $700K. Luminosity was the runner-up there and received $280K in prize money.
