DC vs GT Match Prediction: Who will win today’s IPL 2023 match?: Today’s match in Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to take place between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC). The GT team always seems to find a way to win.
During their opening match of IPL 2023 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the defending champions faced a number of problems.
They were without star batsman David Miller, who was their second-highest run-scorer last year. Hardik Pandya & Co. also lost new recruit Kane Williamson in the first innings to a season-ending knee injury.
Nevertheless, GT did it in front of their home crowd in Ahmedabad, with Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan remaining unbeaten in another successful run-chase.
The Titans will head into their next match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Tuesday, April 4, riding on both confidence and form. They would also welcome the return of Miller, who joined the team after his stint with South Africa ended.
Meanwhile, DC squares off against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Saturday. David Warner & Co. lost by 50 runs in Lucknow as Mark Wood pushed them back.
Luckily for Delhi Capitals, they can now call upon a pacer of their own. The fiery Anrich Nortje looks inexperienced against LSG in pace attack and looks all set to be available for selection to add his penetration.
DC vs GT Match Prediction: Who will win today’s IPL 2023 match?
Williamson’s absence may not seem so costly, as Miller is manning the middle order and Sai Sudarshan, batting at No.3, has shown great composure and skill.
Shubman Gill has also been in scintillating form, and the Titans have managed to win the IPL despite repeatedly appearing a batsman or two short.
GT’s bowling is lethal. Apart from Alzarri Joseph and Mohammed Shami, they have Josh Little and Yash Dayal to add variety. Hardik Pandya undoubtedly sees himself as a full-time bowler who can hit his quota at any time.
DC also has a decent bowling attack with quite a few options. His issues lie in the middle order, where Rishabh Pant’s place is finding it difficult to fill. Sarfaraz Khan is clearly a liability with the gloves.
The inclusion of Anrich Nortje could worsen matters for Delhi in the middle order, with Rilee Rossouw likely to find himself without an overseas slot. Manish Pandey could have replaced the South African batsman, but he hasn’t been the most impressive on most days.
The conditions in Delhi could be in the hands of the home team. They have two good spinners in Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel, and most of GT’s middle-order batsmen have few weaknesses against good spin.
Today’s Match Prediction: GT to win Match 7 of IPL 2023.
