If the IPL 2023 final doesn’t happen then why will Gujarat Titans be declared as the winners?

If the reserve day is also removed for the final match then Gujarat Titans will be declared as the winner of IPL 2023. IPL 2023 final is all set to take place tonight between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The match was to begin at 7:30 PM IST. However, so far, rain has delayed proceedings, and the toss hasn’t even taken place. The latest weather update from Ahmedabad is that the rain has stopped and the covers are coming off at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

As the rain stopped in Ahmedabad and then resumed, fans are looking at the IPL rulebook. The rules say that if the final is not held tonight, a reserve day is kept. Tomorrow i.e. Monday 29th May is reserve day.

According to the rules, if the rain does not stop tomorrow also and the Super Over (one-over eliminator) is not played, then the team which will be on top of the points table will win the trophy.
