EV start-up Ola has celebrated ‘Ola Customer Day’ at the location of its upcoming manufacturing unit near Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. At this event, the company released the teaser of its upcoming premium electric car. The teaser reveals that the first Ola electric car will be a sporty sedan.
Ola Electric has already announced that the company is planning to enter the electric four-wheeler segment with an India-centric product.
The company is currently selling an electric scooter, Ola S1 which has received a positive response from the buyers.
Ola Electric Car: Ola electric sedan to be launched soon
The production of the Ola electric sedan is likely to start in the second half of 2023. It is expected that Ola may take over the existing platform or only EV architecture from an international EV start-up.
However, some such reports have come to the fore in which Ola is developing its own platform for its electric car. This will help Ola keep its costs low and achieve a high level of localization.

The Ola electric sedan will come with a massive battery pack of around 70-80kWh. The Nexon EV Max from Tata Motors packs a 40.5kWh battery that claims a range of 437km. Whereas the 77kWh battery of the Kia EV can give a range of up to 528.

The Ola electric sedan will offer a range of more than 500 km. This will also increase the price of the sedan. Its price is likely to be around Rs 25 lakh.
