Devdutt Padikkal replaced Riyan Parag against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and played a fine duck that gave RR some momentum after the early wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Padikkal can keep Parag out of the playing XI for the time being.
Sanju Samson said that Trent Boult’s injury was minor, so the left-handed batsman can regain his place in the team.
If Boult doesn’t fit in, the Royals will have to decide how to use their fourth overseas slot. While Adam Zampa came in handy in Chepauk, he may not have the same impact in Ahmedabad.
