As announced by Jio at the AGM 2022 event, other parts of the country will get Jio 5G service only till next year. The company’s chief said during the annual general meeting that the official rollout of Jio 5G services across the country will happen only by December 2023. So, if you think that your Jio phone will get access to 5G today or anytime, it is not going to happen.
To begin with, even the 4 cities to get 5G services quickly will get it partially. Not all people with Jio numbers living in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai will get a 5G network till Diwali.
Jio 5G services will be available in some parts of the cities. For example, in the capital, Delhi Airport T3 is now 5G ready and promises 20 times faster connectivity for passengers.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) announced the availability of 5G services at Delhi’s T3 airport ahead of the official launch of 5G in India. DIAL said in an official statement that passengers flying from Delhi Airport Terminal 3 will soon be able to use the 5G network.
